It is not medical, legal, financial, psychological, or professional advice. Reading it doesn't establish a professional relationship between us and you. Acting on it is your call.
What we are
An independent publication. Editors with opinions. Sources cited where they exist. A method published openly (see How We Work). Claim strength labeled when it matters. Corrections made when we get something wrong.
What we are not
- Your doctor. The medical disclaimer has more on this.
- Your lawyer. Nothing on this site is legal advice for your jurisdiction or situation.
- Your financial advisor. We do not give investment, tax, or retirement guidance.
- Your therapist. Mental-health content here is educational. If you're in crisis, get help immediately.
- Infallible. We will get things wrong. When we do, we correct them on the page with a dated note.
How to read us
Read the steelman section first if you're tempted to agree quickly. Click the citations — pick the one that surprises you and check the underlying source. Hold the diagnosis and the action separately: the diagnosis can be correct and the action can still not fit your particular life, body, or constraints. The Case File is a tool. Tools are used; they don't make decisions for you.
If you disagree
Tell us. The form only works if readers push back. We publish corrections, we publish counterpoints, and we adjust positions when the evidence warrants. The day this site stops welcoming dissent is the day it's stopped being useful.
If you found a factual error
Email hello@1wisdom.co with the piece title, the specific claim, and your source. We respond. We don't stealth-edit; corrections are visible on the page.
External links and third-party content
We link out to primary sources, archives, and other publications. We don't control those destinations and we're not responsible for their content, accuracy, or business decisions. Linking is not endorsement of everything else those publications have ever said.
Commercial relationships and affiliate disclosure
1WISDOM does not embed affiliate links in editorial content. If we ever do, they'll be marked at the point of the link with a visible disclosure block on that page. Three commercial relationships are worth naming directly:
- RiseStudioLabs — the sister studio whose apps are linked from /apps/. Members get a standing discount on every RSL app. This is editorial, not a paid placement; we built RSL ourselves and we won't pretend the recommendation is neutral.
- Stripe — processes the Inner Circle subscription. They take a transaction fee. We don't earn anything from Stripe itself.
- Buy Me a Coffee — processes one-time tips on /support/. Same model: they take a transaction fee, we don't earn anything from them.
We don't run an Amazon, ShareASale, Skimlinks, or any other affiliate program. We don't accept paid placements, sponsored content, or product seedings disguised as editorial. If that ever changes, we'll say so here and on the relevant page — clearly, in plain English, before you read past the disclosure.
Corrections
Material claim changes are logged on the corrections page with the date, the page, what changed, and the source that prompted the change. We don't stealth-edit.
Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, 1WISDOM, its editors, and its operator are not liable for decisions you make based on content here. Use the work as input to your own judgment, not as a substitute for it.
